This story about my background will reveal how I gained the ability to overcome life’s obstacles, applying myself to work hard:  Fact is I actually failed grade 9 math, so it was with tremendous determination and passion that I graduated from the University of Waterloo in Mechanical Engineering with an average of over 70%. I worked as a Professional Engineer for 9 years as an expert in stress analysis and new product development for the largest electrical connector manufacturer in the world, leaving the engineering profession in 1990 with a total of 5 patented inventions. The ability to apply oneself to the task is important in all careers.
